For its very first service, at 20 000km, I took it to Lichtenburg Toyota. With mileage now of 470 000km, it has just received its 45th regular service at the very same dealership, attended to by technician Kallie Swanevelder. We recently had 105mm of rain in one day. The following day I had to take my car for its service, and the Corolla became virtually amphibious on the 12km of dirt road I have to travel to get to town. To top it all, this road has not been graded for three years – I consider it the worst road in Africa and it is full of water when it rains. My car travels this road every day and is indestructible. After another 470 000km I intend to bring it back to Lichtenburg Toyota for its 90th service. OTHERS COULD LEARN I want to congratulate both Kerneels van Antwerpen and Tinus du Preez on the excellent service they gave me on the purchase of my new Fortuner. They updated me regularly on the status of the purchase and finance. The assistance with the financing was done very professionally and with more commitment than I ever expected. They are truly leaders in their field – rival companies could learn from Oranje Toyota Welkom on service delivery. It was an amazing experience with these guys.
